11. Bite Registration<br />

System Components<br />

The impression posts for the closed<br />

impression method are used for the bite<br />

registration (see "Closed impression<br />

method", page 141). The diametermatched,<br />

color-coded bite registration<br />

caps are installed on the impression<br />

posts. Correct seating is indicated by a<br />

perceptible locking feel. Sharp edges in<br />

the register are prevented by the caps.<br />

Registration requires only standard<br />

materials. The caps should not be<br />

allowed to bond to the register and are<br />

delivered to the laboratory along with<br />

the impression posts.<br />

Alternatively, under limited space conditions<br />

and to prevent bite elevation, a<br />

6.0 mm healing cap cylindrical may be<br />

used.<br />

Caution! Record the diameter, position,<br />

and height of the healing cap<br />

on the information work sheet and<br />

deliver it with the corresponding<br />

healing cap to the dental laboratory.<br />

For precision reasons, they may not<br />
