In the midst <strong>of</strong> the contemporary leadership crisis, this course is designed to equip students to thoughtfully and intentionally<br />

accept the challenge <strong>of</strong> spiritual leadership through a process which requires personal reflection, spiritual discipline, and<br />

leadership skills that can be implemented in a variety <strong>of</strong> settings. (Prerequisites: LDRS152 or LDRS352, PSYC141, junior-level<br />

Contemporary Discipleship Praxis<br />

Transfer students who transfer to WJU with 30 or more units will take this course in place <strong>of</strong> LDRS152, Contemporary Discipleship<br />

for Freshmen. This course covers the same material as LDRS152 at an accelerated pace and without learning communities.<br />

General Mathematics (F)<br />

A review <strong>of</strong> general math skills, including computation, elementary algebra, and geometry. Students are placed based on<br />

SAT/ACT scores. Units are not applicable to degree program requirements. This course also covers the principle topics <strong>of</strong> high<br />

school algebra. Topics include solving equations and inequalities, polynomials and exponents, factoring, rational expressions,<br />

and equations and inequalities in two variables.<br />

Math for the Educated Citizen (S)<br />

A study <strong>of</strong> some <strong>of</strong> the uses <strong>of</strong> mathematics in society today, including probability and statistics, business applications, and the<br />

analysis <strong>of</strong> patterns. Students are placed based on SAT/ACT scores.<br />
