Associate <strong>of</strong> Arts<br />

in Ministry<br />

2010-2011<br />

This two-year degree program is designed to provide graduates with a basic biblical knowledge and specific practical skills to serve<br />

as volunteer workers in the church. Students who complete this program will have gained a strong foundation for lifelong<br />

autonomous learning, and the skills and broad worldview needed for effective service and leadership, both in the church and in an<br />

increasingly multicultural society. Furthermore, these students will demonstrate:<br />

1. An ability to communicate the Word <strong>of</strong> God.<br />

2. An understanding <strong>of</strong> the world and its history.<br />

3. A basic understanding <strong>of</strong> the general themes <strong>of</strong> the Bible and biblical history.<br />

4. An understanding <strong>of</strong> the church revealed in scripture and several basic principles <strong>of</strong> New Testament Christianity.<br />

5. A practical knowledge <strong>of</strong> either Family & Children’s Ministry, Intercultural <strong>Studies</strong>, Music & Worship, Pastoral Ministry, or<br />

Youth Ministry.<br />
