Bachelor <strong>of</strong> Science<br />
Business Administration<br />
The Business Administration major is designed to develop an individual’s leadership capabilities for a career either in business or<br />
in ministry. For some students, the program will provide the preparation for a Masters <strong>of</strong> Business Administration (MBA) or other<br />
graduate program. Other students will use this degree to directly enter either business or ministry fields.<br />
A graduate should demonstrate the knowledge <strong>of</strong> and the ability to use the following:<br />
1. Apply basic management principles considering legal implications.<br />
2. Use introductory accounting principles, analyze financial reports and evaluate financial proposals.<br />
3. Apply basic marketing concepts.<br />
4. Analyze data using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics.<br />
5. Demonstrate the knowledge <strong>of</strong> and the ability to use computers, databases, and networking.<br />
6. Analyze the best way to produce goods or provide services at a high level <strong>of</strong> quality and low cost using operations<br />
management tools and techniques.<br />
7. Explain and use strategic management concepts<br />
8. Apply the biblical perspective on ethical questions across business functions.<br />
The Bachelor <strong>of</strong> Science program is designed to prepare its graduates for careers in management in any organization: business<br />
and non-business, public or private, foreign or domestic, ministry or non-ministry. Students will learn the fundamental principles<br />
underlying organizations, improve their critical thinking, develop knowledge <strong>of</strong> analytical tools <strong>of</strong> management, and develop skills<br />
in analyzing and evaluating managerial problems.<br />
