Investigates the events after the Old Testament and their implications for understanding New Testament times and literature.<br />
The study will include the history, archaeology, and literature <strong>of</strong> the period including the Apocrypha, Pseudepigrapha, and the<br />

Investigation and discussion <strong>of</strong> relevant biblical passages on a topic <strong>of</strong> current interest. The topic chosen by the pr<strong>of</strong>essor in<br />

An in-depth analysis <strong>of</strong> the book in its historical and cultural setting provides the basis for examination <strong>of</strong> important theological<br />
concepts in Genesis. The course will consider various interpretive viewpoints and their importance for the foundation <strong>of</strong> a biblical<br />

Wisdom Literature (F: odd years)<br />
Examines Job, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, and Song <strong>of</strong> Solomon in their historical, cultural, and literary milieu. Emphasis will be<br />
placed on the relevance <strong>of</strong> these texts to living successfully from a biblical perspective. (Prerequisites: BIBL349)<br />

Exilic Prophets (S: even years)<br />
An exegetical and theological study <strong>of</strong> the books <strong>of</strong> Ezekiel and Daniel in the historical, cultural, and canonical setting <strong>of</strong> the<br />
books. It will include an introduction to the genre <strong>of</strong> apocalyptic literature, its impact on communities in need <strong>of</strong> hope in the Old<br />
and New Testaments. (Prerequisites: BIBL349)<br />

Capstone Course to be completed in the student’s last semester <strong>of</strong> study, bringing together all <strong>of</strong> the students work<br />

This course is designed to introduce students to concepts <strong>of</strong> wellness and promote their awareness <strong>of</strong> six aspects <strong>of</strong> wellness:<br />
social, physical, emotional, intellectual, spiritual, and environmental. Evaluation <strong>of</strong> current life habits including diet, exercise, and<br />
inter/intra personal setting <strong>of</strong> short and long term goals will be included.<br />
