BIBLIOGRAPHIE
On the Manners and Customs of the Ancient Irish. By E.
O'CuRRY. Edited by W. K. Sullivan. London, 1873.
In the Revue Celtique (II, pp. 260-264) Mr. Gaidoz has noticed this
fantastic book from the points of view of a critic trained to weigh docu-
mentary évidence and of an historian seeking above ail things truth.
But there is a third point from which O'Curry's work and Mr. SuUivan's
additions thereto hâve not hitherto been regarded, and that is the point
of view of a student of Gaelic. The following lists of corrigenda might
easily be lengthened; but;, such as they are, they supply sufficient
material for judging of the accuracy of O'Curry's Irish scholarship and
the compétence of Mr. Sullivan to correct his errors and supply his
defects.
