The Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC) will be the main
development hub of the nation in the 21 st century, whereby the major
industries will be the multimedia industries and information technology
operating within an environment specially designed to facilitate the
mutual enrichment of leading edge companies and countries seeking to
locate here and rap the rewards of the Information Age. The Federal Town
and Country Planning Department is entrusted with the task of preparing
the Physical Development Plan for the MSC and Cyberjaya. To facilitate
the implementation of this development plan, the Department has drawn
up this series of IT Planning Guidelines for seven zones within the MSC.
The overall objective of these guidelines is to create a world class business
and living environment through provision of the state of art multimedia
infrastructure; efficient transportation system; top quality business;
