9.34.5 OPEN SPACES AND RECREATION
National Park
• Parkland to incorporate both conservation and biological as well as
recreational functions. Plants of botanical and landscape significant
and collection of interesting bird life species are among the attraction
being planned for the park.
• Parkland to act as major green area that can serve as an ecological
showcase of the natural environment.
• Parkland to provide both passive and active activities within a natural
setting.
• Parkland to provide educational knowledge on ecology, botany,
wildlife, and natural vegetation to all park users and visitors.
• Administration buildings and parking areas will also accommodate
other facilities like refreshment kiosk, information centre and
camping centre store to provide rentals of camping equipment.
• Circulation include hiking trail, jogging and bicycle track. Bicycle
track should be looping on the more gentle slope areas to enable
cyclists to visit various site of the national park.
• Jogging track should loop through and slope gradient of not more than
10%. It will also link through the major sites of the park.
9.34.6 COMMUNITY FACILITIES
• Intelligent mosque will be located within the area and shall be the
main central focus of community and religious activity e.g. Rakan
Muda activities.
• Other social facilities such as libraries, shall be integrated within the
development of the intelligent mosque.
• Development area within the mosque should be equipped with
electricity and telecommunication facilities for a ready, link up to IT
facilities.
