9.33.5 OPEN SPACE AND RECREATION
• Active outdoor spaces, meeting areas and providing adequate public
amenities.
• Healthy living should be promoted through the introduction of covered
walkway pedestrian system to encourage walking.
• Central green space for the surrounding community should include
• Children's playground and tot's lots with integrated play structures
such as swings and slides.
• Neighbourhood community centre for social activities
• Exercise station and pedestrian track. This multi-use track can be
turned into jogging track.
• Besides the Neighbourhood Park small pockets of children's play areas
should be provided in all over residential areas. The objective is to treat
the whole residential zone as recreational and play areas.
9.33.6 COMMUNITY FACILITIES
• Intelligent mosque will be located within the area and shall be the
main central focus of community and religious activity e.g. Rakan
Muda activities.
• Other social facilities such as libraries, shall be integrated within the
development of the intelligent mosque and within accessible distance.
• Development area within the mosque should be equipped with
electricity and telecommunication facilities for a ready link up to IT
facilities.
• Smart school will be the main education system with IT infrastructure
to enhance IT literacy.
• 100% electricity and communication facilities be provided within
schools for ready link up to IT facilities.
• High tech facilities to be made available to all police stations and one
out of every four for police beats.
