„VIENNAFAIR The International Contemporary Art Fair“ fand 2009 bereits zum fünften Mal statt. Insgesamt 122 Galerien und mehr
als tausend Künstler nahmen daran teil. Die Erste Bank, langjähriger Partner der VIENNAFAIR, setzt mit ihrer Unterstützung den
CEE-Schwerpunkt der Messe. 29 Galerien aus Ost- und Südosteuropa wurde dadurch der Messeauftritt ermöglicht.
“VIENNAFAIR The International Contemporary Art Fair” was held in 2009 for the fifth time. A total of 122 galleries and more than one
thousand artists took part. Erste Bank, long term partner of VIENNAFAIR, focused its support on CEE. It allowed 29 galleries from
Central, Central-eastern and South-eastern Europe to take part.

Art Guide East

treffen sich die Menschen. Der „spike Art Guide East“ nimmt die Kunstszenen von zehn ost- und zentraleuropäischen Städten unter die
Lupe. Mit Interviews, Essays, Tipps von Künstlern, Kuratoren, Kritikern, Galeristen, Sammlern und Kreativen vor Ort.
What makes up a city’s art scene? The places where art takes place, the cafés and restaurants where people meet, the bars and
clubs. The spike Art Guide East examines the art scenes, past and present, of ten Central and Eastern European cities. Included are
interviews, articles and recommendations from artists, curators, critics, gallery owners, collectors and creatives on-site.
