#649: eLM -- One Stop Mentoring<br />

To help promote interest in using webcasts to supplement the classroom delivery our trainers<br />

were familiar with, a team of twelve trainers were selected to become e-Learning Mentors, or<br />

eLMs. This team became super users of the virtual classroom software we are using and<br />

developed our internal processes for preparing for and delivering classes. Other trainers who<br />

are getting ready for their first e-Class can call on their eLM to help them go through the setup<br />

process, adopt best practices presentation and facilitation skills, and promote learner<br />

involvement in a synchronous distance learning environment. eLMs also work with Subject<br />

Matter Experts outside of our training group so they understand the nuances of delivering<br />

training virtually. The eLM program has been key to the success of our e-Class program, as it<br />

has become a preferred training delivery method for many trainers and for our customers.<br />
