Gökhan Gezik<br />

He was born in1976 in Erzincan.<br />

He graduated in 1999 from the<br />

Communications School of Istanbul University.<br />

Following 1999 Marmara earthquake, as a<br />

trainer he participated in the photography<br />

workshops organized by the Solidarity<br />

Volunteers for the children living in the tent<br />

city of Izmit-Bekirpaşa Old Armory.<br />

He served as a photography trainer at places<br />

and institutions including Photography House,<br />

Photography Foundation, Bilfen College and<br />

İstek Acıbadem High School.<br />

He was invited to the Project called “Young<br />

Breaths in the Turkish Photography” organized<br />

jointly by “Wider Angle” photography magazine<br />

and Istanbul Photography Center in 2004,<br />

and he participated in the Project via his<br />

documentary photography Project called White<br />

Russians (SPASSIBO) he initiated in 2002.<br />

With his photographs of this Project he<br />

took part in the exhibitions held in Istanbul<br />

Photography Center, Cemal Resit Rey<br />

Convention Center, Russian National<br />

Photography Center in St. Petersburg and<br />

Moscow Photography House. He currently<br />

takes photos for a publication group based<br />

in Istanbul.<br />

1976 Erzincan doğumlu.<br />

1999 yılında İstanbul Üniversitesi İletişim<br />

Fakültesi’nden mezun oldu. 1999 Marmara<br />

depreminden sonra Dayanışma Gönüllüleri’nin<br />

İzmit-Bekirpaşa Eski Cephanelik Çadır<br />

Kenti’nde çocuklarla yapılan fotoğraf<br />

çalışmalarına eğitmen olarak katıldı.<br />

Istanbul’da, Fotoğrafevi, Fotoğraf Vakfı,<br />

Bilfen Koleji ve İstek Acıbadem Lisesi’nde<br />

fotoğrafçılık eğitmenliği yaptı.<br />

2002 yılında başladığı Beyaz Ruslar(SPASSİBO)<br />

belgesel fotoğraf projesiyle 2004 yılında “Geniş<br />

Açı” fotoğraf dergisi ve “İstanbul Fotoğraf<br />

Merkezi”nin işbirliğiyle düzenlenen “Türk<br />

Fotoğrafında Genç Soluklar”a çağrıldı ve bu<br />

projeyle İstanbul Fotoğraf Merkezi, Cemal<br />

Reşit Rey, St. Petersburg’da Rusya Ulusal<br />

Fotoğraf Merkezi ve Moskova Fotoğraf Evi’nde<br />

sergilere katıldı.<br />

Halen İstanbul’da bir yayın grubunun çıkardığı<br />

dergiler için fotoğraf çekiyor.<br />
