Treefolk are the as much a part of the forest as their wooden brethren. Tending to stay within the wilderness of Fenorra, this race has skin like their tree ancestors and leaves that tend to change with the seasons. Having skin of bark has an advantage of being tougher than normal human skin, which is helpful since due to their unique physiology they cannot wear armor. Their stiff form also makes it impossible for them to run. Treefolk have a severe fear of fire. The bravest of all of them would think twice before approaching an open flame. Fire is their natural enemy as their wooden form burns much like any of the trees of the forest. Generally peaceful people, Treefolk do not like violence; they would rather solve problems through conversation. However if it comes down to it, they strike with the power of a great Oak, and smite their enemies to protect all who they consider a friend. Treefolk tend to live in small groups within the forests of Fenorra. They are born not from parents, but are trees that awaken one day, though for some reason they bleed Treefolk as men living an average of 200 years. The Treefolk get along best with their fellow forest guardians, the Dryads, as they share similar views of the world. They also have a fondness for the Phaunos if only because they embody the vitality that they themselves do not possess. Valley Dwarves are thought to be cousins of their Mountain dwelling kin the Mountain Dwarves. Like their relatives the Valley Dwarves are a hardy and long lived race. They are naturally more sturdy and resilient than most other races in Fenorra and live an average of 400 years. Physically the Valley Dwarves resemble their Mountain cousins as well sharing their stocky appearance the men having full beards and both the men and women having streaks of brown and green hues in their hair. This is where the resemblance ends however. Valley Dwarves are a peaceful and private people by nature and tend not to stray far from their villages. Despite their rugged appearance Valley Dwarves shy away from battle and the few who do take up arms have a difficult time mastering their weapons and find bulky armor far too encumbering to move. They have a natural affinity for the alchemical arts and an innate understanding of the herbs that grow on their land and prefer to use these natural means to protect themselves when in need. Valley Dwarves are a naturally stubborn race, opinionated in every way and form. However, unlike their mountain counterparts, the Dwarves tend to get into shouting matches or drinking contests, never resorting to physical violence to settle an argument. They prefer to outwit the opponent, or rather, see who has the stronger constitution. This innate stubbornness gives Valley Dwarf them an almost supernatural resistance to magics that affect the mind. As their name implies the Valley Dwarves live in the valleys of Fenorra. The mountains that surround them not only act as a natural defense against invading forces it also has segregated them from most other races in Fenorra. This has led to the common belief that Valley Dwarves are a shy and timid people as they are rarely seen outside of their small villages. This however is a misconception, Valley Dwarves are a private people but if pressed can be the most tenacious of people on Fenorra.
