Contractor is expected to maintain antecedents <strong>of</strong> all the personnel deployed <strong>for</strong> the<br />

services <strong>contract</strong>ed out herein, <strong>for</strong> security and safety reasons and furnish the<br />

same when called <strong>for</strong>.<br />

1.6 Any material taken into the building or taken out from the building shall have<br />

necessary permission from the security personnel/competent authority <strong>of</strong> the <strong>GAIL</strong>.<br />

1.7 The Contractor shall be provided with one set <strong>of</strong> the drawing. The Contractor may<br />

have to incorporate minor modifications done if any, in the AC system during the<br />

Contract period and handover the drawings in good condition to the <strong>GAIL</strong> at the<br />

expiry <strong>of</strong> Contract.<br />

1.8 It is expected that the Contractor in order to provide efficient and effective<br />

services, would deploy competent personnel, qualified, experienced and possessing all<br />

appropriate licenses otherwise, if required, <strong>for</strong> doing any particular nature <strong>of</strong> job.<br />

If <strong>for</strong> security or any other reason any <strong>of</strong> the personnel deployed by the Contractor<br />

<strong>for</strong> the services retained out herein is reported or found undesirable such personnel<br />

shall not be permitted entry into the <strong>GAIL</strong> premises and the Contractor is expected<br />

to take the necessary appropriate action.<br />

The Contractor’s responsibility <strong>for</strong> safety shall be limited only <strong>for</strong> the equipment run<br />

by him during the time <strong>of</strong> running the plant/system only. However, necessary<br />

insurance to cover normal risk like fire, riots, theft etc. shall be <strong>of</strong> owner's<br />

responsibility.<br />

1.9 The Contractor shall be responsible <strong>for</strong> injury to any body, breakage, loss or damage<br />

to the equipment, machinery, appliance or properties connected therewith, caused by<br />

the negligence & act <strong>of</strong> omission or commission by the Contractor, their agents or<br />

sub<strong>contract</strong>ors. Further any damage/loss in the Contractor's workshop or during<br />

lifting and transportation shall be repaired/replaced as the case may be, by<br />

the Contractor at his cost and risk. Contractor may resort to shut down <strong>of</strong> A.C.<br />

Plant/fan coil units after prior in<strong>for</strong>mation to Engineer-in-Charge, if any danger<br />

limits to units’ parameters <strong>for</strong> safe operation <strong>of</strong> the plant is observed.<br />

1.10 Contractor shall abide by all the rules and regulations including minimum wage act in<br />

respect <strong>of</strong> the staff engaged by him and the Contractor shall be wholly responsible<br />

<strong>for</strong> his employees, their safety, the applicability <strong>of</strong> PF, Gratuity, medical & insurance<br />

etc. & any other statutory provision <strong>of</strong> that may be en<strong>for</strong>ced from time to time. The<br />

Contractor should have valid and separate PF and ESIC Registrations certificates.<br />

<strong>GAIL</strong> will not be responsible in any way <strong>for</strong> payment on these accounts. Any labour or<br />

staff related problems, disputes if any, will be the sole responsibility <strong>of</strong> the<br />

Contractor & he has to indemnify the <strong>GAIL</strong> from above claim or fine etc., imposed by<br />

any private or government body/person. All the labour and employee laws should be<br />

complied by the Contractor.<br />
