Also the CONTRACTOR should furnish the manufacturing<br />

drawings <strong>for</strong> fast wearing spares.<br />

54.2 The CONTRACTOR guarantees the EMPLOYER that be<strong>for</strong>e the<br />

manufacturers <strong>of</strong> the equipments, plants and machineries go out<br />

<strong>of</strong> production <strong>of</strong> spare parts <strong>for</strong> the equipment furnished and<br />

erected by him, he shall give at least twelve (12) months'<br />

advance notice to the EMPLOYER, so that the latter may order<br />

his requirement <strong>of</strong> spares in one lot, if he so desires.<br />

SECTION-V Per<strong>for</strong>mance <strong>of</strong> Work<br />

55 Execution <strong>of</strong> work: 55.1 All the Works shall be executed in strict con<strong>for</strong>mity with the<br />

provisions <strong>of</strong> the CONTRACT Documents and with such<br />

explanatory detailed drawings, specification and instructions as<br />

may be furnished from time to time to the CONTRACTOR by the<br />

ENGINEER-IN-CHARGE whether mentioned in the CONTRACT<br />

or not. The CONTRACTOR shall be responsible <strong>for</strong> ensuring that<br />

works throughout are executed in the most substantial, proper<br />

and workmanlike manner with the quality <strong>of</strong> material and<br />

workmanship in strict accordance with the SPECIFICATIONS and<br />

to the entire satisfaction <strong>of</strong> the ENGINEER-IN-CHARGE. The<br />

CONTRACTOR shall provide all necessary materials equipment<br />

labour etc. <strong>for</strong> execution and <strong>maintenance</strong> <strong>of</strong> WORK till<br />

completion unless otherwise mentioned in the CONTRACT.<br />

56 Co-ordination and inspection<br />

56.1 The coordination and inspection <strong>of</strong> the day-to-day work under the<br />

CONTRACT shall be the responsibility <strong>of</strong> the<br />

ENGINEER-IN-CHARGE. The written instruction regarding any<br />

particular job will normally be passed by the<br />

ENGINEER-IN-CHARGE or his authorised representative. A<br />

work order book will be maintained by the CONTRACTOR <strong>for</strong><br />

each sector in which the a<strong>for</strong>esaid written instructions will be<br />

entered. These will be signed by the CONTRACTOR or his<br />

authorised representative by way <strong>of</strong> acknowledgement within 12<br />

hours.<br />

57.1 Unless otherwise specified elsewhere in the tender, the execution<br />

<strong>of</strong> the WORK may entail working in the monsoon also. The<br />

CONTRACTOR must maintain a minimum labour <strong>for</strong>ce as may<br />

be required <strong>for</strong> the job and plan and execute the construction and<br />

erection according to the prescribed schedule. No extra rate will<br />

be considered <strong>for</strong> such work in monsoon.<br />

57.2 During monsoon and other period, it shall be the responsibility <strong>of</strong><br />

the CONTRACTOR to keep the construction work site free from<br />

water at his own cost.<br />

58.1 For carrying out Work on Sundays, and Holidays, the<br />

CONTRACTOR will approach the ENGINEER-IN-CHARGE or his<br />

representative at least two days in advance and obtain<br />

permission in writing. The CONTRACTOR shall observe all<br />

labour laws and other statutory rules and regulations in <strong>for</strong>ce. In<br />

case <strong>of</strong> any violations <strong>of</strong> such laws, rules and regulations,<br />
