1. If the window/split type air-conditioners, Water Coolers, Refrigerators fails and<br />

remains unattended <strong>for</strong> more than 1 day after reporting <strong>of</strong> the fault, Rs.500/- per<br />

day or part there<strong>of</strong> shall be deducted <strong>for</strong> the period <strong>of</strong> breakdown, subject to a<br />

maximum <strong>of</strong> 10% <strong>of</strong> the Contractor Value.<br />

5. If there is any fault found in the system and the Contractor fails to rectify the<br />

same within reasonable time or the system is handed over in damaged condition at<br />

the end <strong>of</strong> the <strong>contract</strong>, the Engineer-in-Charge shall call the specialized Agency<br />

and get the fault rectified. The <strong>contract</strong>or has to make payment to the specialized<br />

agency and if the <strong>contract</strong>or fails to make the payment to the specialized agency,<br />

the Engineer-in-Charge shall make the payment and the amount with 10% overhead<br />

shall be deducted from <strong>contract</strong>or’s bill. This point is independent <strong>of</strong> the other<br />

Penalty clause and the deduction <strong>for</strong> services charges/attending <strong>maintenance</strong> point<br />

does not have any ceiling.<br />

1.45 PAYMENT TERMS :<br />

The Contractor should quote his rate in two parts, Part A is <strong>for</strong> the consolidated fee<br />

<strong>for</strong> the entire services <strong>contract</strong>ed out herein. The consolidated <strong>annual</strong> fee includes<br />

the supply <strong>of</strong> manhours service, tie up with the authorized agencies and petty<br />

expenditures like cloths <strong>for</strong> cleaning, cotton waste, grease, gasket, CTC/CRC, etc.<br />

Part A also includes the comprehensive <strong>of</strong> equipments as detailed in the BOQ.<br />

All bills to be raised by the <strong>contract</strong>or at the end <strong>of</strong> each month along with all the<br />

required supporting documents and payment will be made after verification <strong>of</strong> all<br />

details by Engineer in charge. All bills shall be submitted and entered in Gail Bill<br />

Watch System (BWS).<br />

The consolidated <strong>annual</strong> fee does not cover the cost <strong>of</strong> material required <strong>for</strong><br />

<strong>maintenance</strong>. The Contractor should quote <strong>for</strong> the supply <strong>of</strong> material and other jobs<br />

as per BOQ in part B. The Contractor shall supply the materials and carry out jobs<br />

as and when required as asked by the EIC as per BOQ rates. The payment <strong>of</strong><br />

materials shall be made to the Contractor after every month on raising the bill as<br />

per actual executed quantity. These rates shall be valid during the currency <strong>of</strong> the<br />

<strong>maintenance</strong> <strong>contract</strong> and includes all types <strong>of</strong> taxes, transportation, conveyance,<br />

<strong>contract</strong>ors’ pr<strong>of</strong>it, watch and ward, etc.<br />

In case the rate <strong>for</strong> a particular item is not available in the BOQ, then the<br />

Contractor shall arrange the same and cost <strong>of</strong> the item shall be paid to the<br />

Contractor on the production <strong>of</strong> original purchase voucher and the Contractor shall<br />

be paid 10% extra towards his overheads, transportation, conveyance, <strong>contract</strong>or’s<br />
