Supervisors= Meeting<br />

ANY TOWNSHIP/BOROUGH<br />

March 4, 1997<br />

7:30 P.M.<br />

Chairman Robert Smith called <strong>the</strong> monthly meeting of <strong>the</strong> Any Township Supervisors to<br />

order in <strong>the</strong> Any Township Maintenance Building, 3632 Any Road, Anywhere, PA at 7:35 P.M.<br />

He led those in attendance in <strong>the</strong> pledge to <strong>the</strong> flag.<br />

Members present: Robert Smith, William Brown and Nancy Black.<br />

Visitors present: Chief White, Joe Jones and Mary Scott.<br />

On motion by Mr. Brown, seconded by Ms. Black <strong>the</strong> minutes from <strong>the</strong> February meeting<br />

were approved. Motion carried unanimously.<br />

Financial Report<br />

Mr. Brown read <strong>the</strong> financial report.<br />

General Fund Account Balance Feb. 28 $306,278.91<br />

Liquid Fuels Fund Account Balance Feb. 28 $101,288.99<br />

On motion by Mr. Brown and seconded by Ms. Black, <strong>the</strong> financial report and <strong>the</strong><br />

accompanying list of bills payable was approved. Motion carried unanimously.<br />

Public Hearing<br />

Ordinance #1-97 Mr. Brown stated that this is an Ordinance authorizing Any<br />

Township, County of Anyplace and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to enter into an<br />

intergovernmental cooperation agreement with Any Borough, East Township and West<br />

Township in order to provide life, health, hospitalization, medical, surgical or accident insurance<br />

for Township employees and dependents. Mr. Brown moved to approve Ordinance #1-97<br />

seconded by Ms. Black. Ms Black added that she felt that Mr. Brown did an outstanding job in<br />

getting this underway to provide a more economical program for benefits for <strong>the</strong> Township=s<br />

employees. Motion carried unanimously.<br />

Business from <strong>the</strong> Floor<br />

None.<br />

Old Business<br />

Mr. Brown stated he has received a petition to expand <strong>the</strong> Agricultural Security Area for<br />

a total of 861 acres. This has been advertised and recommended by <strong>the</strong> Planning Commission.<br />

The Agricultural Committee has recommended that this area be added to <strong>the</strong> existing area.<br />

Road Foreman=s Report<br />

Mr. Brown read <strong>the</strong> Road Foreman=s report. He stated <strong>the</strong> work that has been done <strong>the</strong><br />

past month and <strong>the</strong>re was a listing of new signs that were placed on Township roads.<br />
