After ten years, the assumed reduction in average import prices caused by
Australia’s adoption of e-commerce is 0.76 per cent. With imports being
about 20 per cent of GDP, or 25 per cent of public and private
consumption, the reduction in import prices of 0.76 per cent has an
impact effect on consumption of 0.19 per cent.
