Ev Hotel has been developed by Eren Talu Mimarlık who have decided to transform
their own investment for an accomodation project in Türkbükü,Bodrum into a hotel;
following the international interest that Hillside Su has drawn. The facility consists of 16
two bedroom apart units of 200 m 2 and 32 one bedroom apart units of 120 m 2 located
in 8 blocks with private swimming pools. The 2/3 open basement floor overlooking the
valley has been constructed with natural stone covered on the reinforced concrete
walls, concealing the basement with the effect of a retaining wall. The steel construction
ground and first floors open up to the view with the 5x15 m cantilever terraces that
create the influence of pure white boxes. The hotel is a consequence of the designers’
attempts to achieve a plain and simple design language.

The pristine Türkbükü coast located on the north side of the Bodrum peninsula had
very few buildings at the end of the 1990s, but then experienced a rapid construction
period with plan revisions carried out in1998 and 2002 under the auspices of the Bodrum
Peninsula Environment Arrangements of 1991. The Bodrum-Milas International Airport
opened in 2000 and had a major impact on the rapid transformation of Türkbükü.
Türkbükü has become an entertainment area in which the elite, distinguished and
famous people from popular culture have been choosing to spend their time since the
beginning of the 1990s, in order both to see and to be seen. Because of the boost created
by new capital, excitement and crowdedness, Türkbükü was integrated with the
Gülkoy Municipality in 2007, renamed Göltürkbükü, and the administration was handed
over to the municipality.
Ev Hotel is different from other hotels as its location is close to appealing entertainment
facilities, but at the same the location allows for mental relaxation. Ev Hotel overlooks
this coast of fetishistic spaces, in other words, a whole world of extremities, from its
high and serene location. The complex has 8 units and 48 residences offering special
services to prominent guests who demand more than a traditional vacation. The hotel
has an extraordinary set up which includes business models of timeshare and hotel at
the same time.
The hotel’s design uses transparency and whiteness to create an architectural style
based on simplicity and minimalism as a life philosophy. This transparency and whiteness
makes the activities of the people inside the facility stand out against the simple
background. This mental shelter was created to fulfill the fantasies of city dwellers who
are searching for purification and spiritual mending. Its simple and relaxing atmosphere
is heavily sought after by modern recluses.
