As the first HIP hotel in Turkey, The Sofa Hotel was designed to provide a homelike
comfort to its guests. Considering the status of Nişantaşı within Istanbul, spaces that
reflect the sophisticated atmosphere and the experiential qualities of the environment
were designed. Equipped with innovative furniture and lighting fixtures, these spaces
have been interpreted with a contemporary design language. The design encourages
the perception of the main entrance and the upper floor reception-cafe as a continuity
of the street, and brings the dynamism of Nişantaşı into the hotel. The facade and
pavement materials used on the ground floor continue into the interior spaces, visually
completing this continuity. Additional exhibition surfaces were included in order to
contribute to the use of the interior spaces as an art gallery.

Located at the heart of art, fashion and gastronomy in Nişantaşı, The Sofa Hotel opened
in 2006 as the first HIP Hotel in Turkey, and is distinguished by its individuality of services,
authenticity, quality of products in accordance with the requirements of being a
HIP Hotel. In line with the new generation hospitality approach the complex, which also
serves as an arts hotel, is a pioneer of this new mixed-use type of accommodation. It

to the Art8*Art Gallery and its terrace at the roof into an artistic experience. In addition
