Adam & Eve is a product of the successful tourism investor and businessman Talha
Görgülü, and the architect Eren Talu who have courageously collaborated to construct
a globally known different, attractive and “sexy” hotel. Having received 36 international
awards so far; the hotel has introduced new approaches to all-inclusive tourism
in terms of management and architectural design. Through intertwined processes of
design and construction; the enclosed space of 106,000 m 2 has been opened to service
in 24 months. Aiming to achieve the harmony of the building with the existing environment;
the architect who has initially preferred to cover the façades with artificial
plants is at present working on replacing them with real plants. The hotel holds a preferred
and unrivalled position with its suprising architecture and constantly enjoyable
management approach.
Located 45 km away from Antalya’s city center and 1 km away from Belek’s town center,
Adam & Eve is located on the coastline, where 47 five-star hotels, resorts and golf
courses, most of which are constructed in large plots, are lined up next to each other
along the 17 kilometer long Belek coast. Aiming to re-create the peaceful atmosphere
of paradise before Adam and Eve’s fall on Earth, Adam & Eve Hotel, promoted as the
“sexiest hotel in the world”, is one of the most attractive and refined examples of the
synergy of elegance, luxury, comfort and atmosphere. Previous examples by the same
designer include the Hillside Su Hotel in Antalya and EV Hotel in Bodrum.
Consisting of 24 low-story villas positioned on the sloped site and a monoblock hotel
mass with a grid façade similar to Istanbul Hilton Hotel, which is one of the pioneer
examples of grand hotels, Adam & Eve Hotel is radically different from the other buildings
along the 17 km coastline with its modernist approach and minimalist architectural
language. Via this minimalist approach the spaces of the hotel have been cleared of all
excessive components and symbolism, making the forms and surfaces visible. The minimalist
approach, based on purification also strengthens the architectural statement. In
contrast with the modesty of the white-washed bare spaces, the 96 m long Bluetooth
Atrium Bar in the atrium and the dimensions of the large swimming pool, twice the
olympic standard size, are factors that add to the power of this architectural statement.
This series of attractive atmospheres is elaborately planned with reference to the users’
expectations of prestige and fondness of popularity, their demand to see and be seen
and the pleasure they get from the discovery and visual experience. Through cleverly
designed effects such as the mirrored mosaics that provide a mysterious shining, mirrors
that create the effect of infinity, whitened spaces that slow down time and gravity
and the alternating use of light and color, these atmospheres present the hotel guests
with a rich, changing and diverse cinematic spatial experience.
