Currently, districts mostly affected are Same, Hai and the
municipal. This bears the concern of the township being stop overs
for the highway traffic.
4.3 WATER SECTOR
4.3.1 Introduction
Kilimanjaro is one of the regions in the country which is fairly
endowed with plenty of surface and ground water sources (Table
LXXVI). About 90% of all water schemes in the region obtain
their waters from surface sources mainly from rivers, springs and
surface dams and almost all water intakes in the region originate
from major streams around mount Kilimanjaro and Pare
mountains. Rombo , Moshi rural and Hai districts get their water
