In comparison with regions like Mwanza, Shinyanga, Mara and<br />
Dodoma, <strong>Kilimanjaro</strong> region could be regarded to have relatively<br />
smaller livestock populations. Cattle, sheep and goats are central<br />
to stock farming in the region, they are raised in great numbers<br />
and considered more important than other animals. Livestock<br />
population is unevenly distributed among the districts in the region<br />
as Table XXIII indicates.<br />
