Water supply in urban Moshi and Same are well developed<br />

compared to other towns while in towns like Hai, Rombo, Moshi<br />

rural and Mwanga obtain water from supply schemes which serve<br />

both rural and urban communities. Table LXXXII shows the<br />

position of water requirement and supply for the district urban<br />

centres in the region.<br />

4.3.10 Urban Water Supply Coverage:<br />

The level of service (coverage) for all the towns including Moshi<br />

Municipality is inadequate due to insufficiant water discharges<br />

from water sources. Water situations in terms of coverage in<br />

urban centres in the region and demand of water sectorwise are<br />

shown in tables LXXXII, LXXXIII(a) and LXXXIII(b).<br />
