The CUA32 Control Unit Adapter converts the <strong>PM</strong>-IF interface to<br />
a DRIVE-CLiQ interface. The CUA32 Control Unit Adapter is also<br />
equipped with an integral encoder evaluation device which can<br />
be configured for an HTL/TTL or SSI encoder.<br />
The CUA32 Control Unit Adapter allows Power Modules in blocksize<br />
format to operate on a CU320-2 or SIMOTION D Control<br />
Unit, e.g. as a single axis next to a multi-axis drive.<br />
In this case, the CUA32 Control Unit Adapter must be the last<br />
device in the DRIVE-CLiQ link from the viewpoint of the CU320-2<br />
or SIMOTION D Control Unit.<br />
■ Design<br />
The CUA32 Control Unit Adapter features the following<br />
connections and interfaces:<br />
• 1 temperature sensor input (KTY84-130 or PTC)<br />
• 3 DRIVE-CLiQ sockets<br />
• 1 connection for the electronics power supply via the<br />
24 V DC power supply connector<br />
• 1 safe standstill input (enable pulses)<br />
• 1 encoder evaluation<br />
The following encoder signals can be evaluated:<br />
- <strong>Inc</strong>remental encoder TTL/HTL<br />
- SSI encoder without incremental signals<br />
The status of the CUA32 Control Unit Adapter is indicated via<br />
multi-color LEDs.<br />
