9. How do you think that the project is benefiting the community of its area of
influence
- Benefit the local municipality through the energetic canon.
- Economical benefits received by the bonds of the certification of emissions
reduction, are conducted to benefit graduates of secondary school of local
high schools.
- Gives opportunity for agribusiness development and energetic supply
guarantee.
- It also applies the Law to promote works by taxes.
- It has been generated a reduction of the maintenance cost of the stretch of
the existing hydraulic work that is used by the project, because this is
currently part of the generation budget of the company.
- It has developed an improvement in potentially vulnerable places of the
ancient infrastructure.
- There is the possibility of fast answer in case of collapse of the work of
hydraulic canalization, which reinforces the State’s response capacity.
There is also the possibility of contributing voluntarily with the local
infraestructure.
10. Does the project injects energy to the SEIN only or it also counts on supply
contracts with private customers
The project only injects energy in the SEIN.
11. What do you think the Government and its stratums should do to promote
projects like the one that was executed
- Firstly, improving the normative regarding the right of Temporary
Concession, evaluating with greater criteria the financial soundness and the
commitment of currently concessionaries to develop a project, otherwise,
this could generate speculations.
- The temporary concession should be exclusive while it lasts and should have
commitments, guaranteeing the audience of the project.
- Distinguish the demanded requirements that should be presented to apply
for a temporary concession, on the basis of each clean generation
technology in particular.
- It should be improved the state’s intervention when there are generated
social problems, giving priority to the project when it is of public interest.
- It should be well delimited the attributions and interinstitutional
competitions regarding the use of resources, avoiding the overlap of
functions, normative vacuums and therefore the project’s delay.
- The legislation should be more flexible when checking files that in many
cases have generated delays and expiration of financial deadlines problems
and contracts with the state and third parties.
