last years, due to the increment of investments in thermoelectric main stations of
natural gas like Camisea since 2004, as it is shown in Graphics Nº 17 and Nº 18,
where is presented the evolution of the electricity generation structure and of the
effective capacity in the SEIN. In order to reverting this situation since 2006, the
Peruvian State has given a bigger impulse to the investments in Hydroelectric
Power Stations through tenders for the long-term electricity supply, which tender
mechanisms and obtained results are shown in the numeral 1.4.1.2 (Measures to
Promote the Investment in New Generation Supply).
