According to your appreciation, which are the barriers presented in the
development of projects based on renewable sources in rural areas
Firstly, there is not yet a cut line that defines the costs that separate the projects’s
implementation from the installation of transmission lines of electric power or
electrification systems with renewable sources, like photovoltaic panels.
There does not exist a way to know with certainty the demand, which does not
allow elaborating plans or strategies. Therefore, there is not a procedure that
enables the fastest selection of projects, which is an urgent need.
On the other hand, there is required the standardization of numbers used in the
different institutions that show progress in terms of rural electrification with
renewable sources.
What positive or promoter aspects of the normative – regulatory frame do you
believe that were determining to promote the investment in projects based on
renewable sources
The General Law of Rural Electrification was and continue being the basis we
are working on. It has allowed advancing progressively in terms of the rural
electrification.
Would you qualify as successful the use of auctions as a promotional
mechanism of investment in generation with renewable sources Why
It seems that the mechanism works for greater capacities, however in the
projects’s scale managed for rural electrification, there are required other
mechanisms like the ones that are currently executed.
