Riccardo Bodini received his undergraduate degree in communication
studies from the University of Bologna (Italy) and a master’s degree in
public policy from the University of Chicago. After graduating, Bodini
worked for seven years at RW Ventures LLC, an urban economic development
firm in Chicago, where he collaborated with businesses, foundations,
think tanks, government, and community-based organizations
on a variety of applied research projects. In January 2010 he returned to
Italy to join the European Research Institute on Cooperative and Social
Enterprises (Euricse), where he applies his experience in research and
project management to the development of new research and policy
projects in the area of cooperative and social enterprise studies. Starting
in 2012, he also took on the role of coordinator for Euricse, managing
the day-to-day activities of the institute.
Hedy N. Chang directs Attendance Works, a national- and state-level initiative
aimed at advancing student success by addressing chronic absence.
A skilled presenter, facilitator, researcher, and writer, she coauthored
the seminal report Present, Engaged, and Accounted For: The Critical
Importance of Addressing Chronic Absence in the Early Grades, as well
as numerous articles about student attendance. Deeply committed to
promoting two-generation solutions to achieving a more just and equitable
society, Chang has spent more than two decades working in the
fields of family support, family economic success, education, and child
