Stress Tests
At loss of all SFS power supply sources procedure for electric power supply to the required
0,4 kV loads of the SFS systems from the diesel-generator is applied [29].
1.4.2.7.4.4 Availability, parameters and characteristics of alternative power supply sources
and related restrictions
The mobile diesel-generator is provided with fuel and oil inventory for continuous nominal
load operation for about 10 hours [30]. The emergency inventory of the fuel is stored in the oil
stocks of Units 5 and 6 site.
1.4.2.7.4.5 Preparedness to use alternative power supply sources
In Kozloduy NPP special procedure is developed specifying electric power supply from
mobile diesel generator [30]. Movement of the platform with mobile diesel generator from the hall
to SFS is carried out by a carrier and is organized by the manager of support service according to
Kozloduy NPP Emergency Plan [28].
1.4.2.8 DC power supply
1.4.2.8.1 UPS devices – description, capacity, discharge time
In order to provide for short-term disturbances in the power supply to sensitive loads in SFS,
for the time before power supply from backup diesel-generator UPS devices are installed [31].
1.4.2.8.2 Loads powered from the UPS devices
The loads powered from the UPS devices are as follows: radiation monitoring interlocks and
protections system, control room workstation, electric equipment in refuelling machine cabin.
