<strong>Stress</strong> <strong>Tests</strong><br />

· Turbine hall and electric building fire alarm and fire extinguishing systems;<br />

· Auxiliary building-3 fire alarm and fire extinguishing systems.<br />

2.5.3.4.3 Measures <strong>for</strong> protection against explosions<br />

According to the analysis [87] in the report assessment <strong>of</strong> the safety impact and proposals<br />

are made <strong>for</strong> organizational measures to prevent from and to reduce the consequences <strong>of</strong> explosion<br />

on petrol station owned by <strong>Kozloduy</strong> <strong>NPP</strong> located in the area <strong>of</strong> Garage No. 2: the total amount <strong>of</strong><br />

petrol in the petrol station shall not exceed three tons.<br />

In pursuance <strong>of</strong> this recommendation analysis and assessment <strong>of</strong> the impact from potential<br />

explosion <strong>of</strong> petrol occurred in the plant owned petrol station on the neighbouring facilities and<br />

structures in the area <strong>of</strong> <strong>Kozloduy</strong> <strong>NPP</strong> have been developed, [88]. The results <strong>of</strong> the study [88]<br />

demonstrate that at potential explosion <strong>of</strong> petrol the Nis and safety systems elements will not be<br />

affected.<br />

2.6 PROVISIONS MADE FOR PROTECTION AT RLE OF SFS<br />

2.6.1 Systems, structures and components (SSCs) required <strong>for</strong> maintaining SFS in safe state<br />

According to the recommendations [3] the stress tests are per<strong>for</strong>med based on the available<br />

and approved by <strong>Kozloduy</strong> <strong>NPP</strong> instructions, procedures, technical specifications, SAR, technical<br />

decisions and their substantiations, results <strong>of</strong> studies and reviews.<br />

Analysis [44] was per<strong>for</strong>med covering all operational states taking into account the most<br />

unfavourable conditions (boundary conditions <strong>of</strong> operation) according to [26].<br />

To cope with different accident scenarios SSCs (elements) are summarized according to lists<br />

mentioned in item 2.1.1.4. <strong>of</strong> [85]:<br />

· Emergency DG <strong>of</strong> SFS;<br />

· Mobile DG;<br />

· Interlocking <strong>of</strong> the refuelling machine in SFS by industrial seismic protection system<br />

(III and IV unit);<br />

· Level gauges in the rooms at emergency flooding <strong>of</strong> elevation -7.20m;<br />

· Fire alarm system in SFS;<br />

· Fire tubes drying from elevation 0.00m to the ro<strong>of</strong> <strong>of</strong> building in SFS;<br />

· Compartments <strong>for</strong> SNF storage (civil structure, pipelines and valves <strong>for</strong> leak<br />

control);<br />

· SFS building;<br />

· Bridge crane 160/32/8t (incl. load carrying structures <strong>for</strong> container handling);<br />

· Crane 16 t (incl. load carrying structures <strong>for</strong> SNF handling)<br />

· SFS DG building.<br />
