• The administrative control and management should target a<br />

smaller group to improve the effectiveness of interventions;<br />

• Incentive measures should be persistent and improved, a system<br />

should be established in the long run, necessary and widely<br />

spread publicity is needed;<br />

• Advocacy to government leaders and decision makers should<br />

be strengthened, to raise the awareness on the complicated nature<br />

and causes of SRB issue, and to promote a multi-sector<br />

cooperation on intervention measures;<br />

• Introduce the contents of balancing sex ratio at birth and related<br />

issues into the population education of primary and middle<br />

school curriculum, the education also should carry out<br />

among medical school students;<br />

• Mobilizing social participation against girls and female foetus<br />

discrimination. The media have an important role in advocating,<br />

and NGOs could play a role in intervention, monitoring,<br />

and evaluation;<br />

• Operational research and evaluation research could benefit the<br />

intervention implementation, impact evaluation, and costeffective<br />

evaluation of intervention measures and approaches,<br />

as well as enabling a timely justification of the intervention<br />

strategy.<br />
