Uttama-Nambi, in a work called Lakshmi-Edvya, oonijjosed<br />
by him, sings <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>m thus ;<br />

Ano<strong>the</strong>r event also occurred about this time enabling<br />
R&m&nuja to fulfil <strong>the</strong> remaining wish <strong>of</strong> his Great Guru<br />
Yd.mana : to name some fit person by <strong>the</strong> name <strong>of</strong> Par'lnkuSa or<br />
Namma.zhv&r in perpetuation <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> memory <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Saint <strong>of</strong><br />
that name.<br />
The reader will recollect <strong>the</strong> redemption <strong>of</strong> Govinda by<br />
SriSaila-Purna <strong>of</strong> Tirupati, described in a previous chapter.<br />
When Govinda joined <strong>the</strong> Vaishnava-band, he felt so<br />
blessed in his regenerate life that he would not allow his newly<br />
awakened delight to rest in himself alone. So, he sono-ht<br />
out his own bro<strong>the</strong>r by name Siriy-Govindai-p-peremal, and<br />
explained to him <strong>the</strong> beauties <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> New Faith. He<br />
brought him to Purna, who graciously accepted him as<br />
his disciple. Govinda and G. Perumal had thus become<br />
spiritual associates as well, and had both come to live with<br />
Bamanuja at Srirungam.<br />
The event which came about was<br />
tliat G. Perumal had a<br />
son born to him, and this, to Bamanuja, was ano<strong>the</strong>r v^aluable<br />
acquisition to his Faith. So he hurried to Penimal's place<br />
and blessing <strong>the</strong> child, named him Parankusa^-Nambi. Thi.s<br />
