Notifications and Storage
These properties are displayed while creating a profile as well as in the profile details page.
Field
Description
Show inSync icon in system tray
If selected, the inSync icon will be displayed on
the system tray of the user’s computers.
Show desktop notifications
If selected, inSync will display important
information to users through desktop
notifications.
Mark device inactive if not backed up for
Indicates the number of days for which if a device
is not backed up, inSync will flag it as inactive.
This field can contain any value from 1 to 365.
Allow unlimited quota on all storages
If selected, an you can choose any of the
available storages while creating a user for the
Profile. The storage will be used to store backups
for the user. If not selected, you must configure
the storages that can be used by users assigned
to this Profile.
Attached Storages
This field is displayed when you clear Allow
unlimited quota on all storages. It indicates the
storages that you can choose while creating a
user for the Profile. It also indicates the data
volume restrictions imposed on those storages.
For example, you have a storage
called STRG0100 that has a capacity to store 100
TB of data. You have another storage called
STRG0050 that has a capacity to store 50 TB of
data. While configuring the profile PROX15, you
attach STRG0100 with 30 TB of data
and STRG0050 with 15 TB of data to the profile.
