inSync 5.2 Private Cloud – Administrator’s Guide The AD Mapping Details Page AD Configuration The AD Configuration area displays the following information about the AD mapping. Field Description Name The name to identify the mapping. AD server The server on which the AD resides. Base DN The base distinguished name of the active directory. Organizational unit The organizational unit in the AD from which user details will be imported. AD group The AD group in the AD from which user details will be imported. Department The department in the AD from which user details will be imported. Country The country in the AD from which user details will be imported. Name to be used for creation The name type that is used to create the user. The options are common name (cn) and Logon name. 170

Field Description Profile The profile assigned to the users created through the AD mapping. Storage The storage assigned to the users created through the AD mapping. Quota per user The user quota assigned to the users created through the AD mapping. Auto create/Update Users Indicates how user details will be imported from the AD. If Enabled, user details will be fetched once every 24 hours from the AD. If Disabled, you have to manually import user details from the AD to create them. 171
