inSync 5.2 Private Cloud – Administrator’s Guide Monitoring inSync One of the responsibilities of an inSync administrator is to monitor the status of the storages, users, devices, and so on, that are associated with inSync. When the need arises, the administrator must take appropriate action to rectify an issue or improve inSync performance. You can monitor the status of various entities in inSync through the following tools. inSync 5.2 Private Cloud – Administrator’s Guide The Dashboard Page The Dashboard page provides an overall view of your inSync setup. Information Displayed in the Summary Area The Summary area displays the following information about the inSync setup. Field Description Users The number of users created for inSync and the maximum number of users that can be created for your inSync setup. For example, 2 [25] indicates that 2 users have be created out of the maximum possible 25. Devices The total number of devices, including desktops, laptops, smartphones, and tablets, currently associated with your inSync setup. Dedupe Ratio This is the ratio between the disk space occupied by the backup data after deduplication and the total data stored. For example, the storage may contain 1 GB of data. However, because of deduplication, only 341 MB of disk space is being occupied in the storage. 23
