inSync 5.2 Private Cloud – Administrator’s Guide Deleting an AD Mapping When deleting an AD Mapping, you can choose to: Delete just the AD mapping. All users created using the AD mapping will continue to use inSync. Delete the AD mapping and disable all users that were created using the AD mapping. Delete the AD mapping and delete all users that were created using the AD mapping. To delete an AD mapping: 1. From the Manage menu, select AD Mapping. The AD Mapping page is displayed. 2. Select the AD mapping you want to delete and click Delete. A list of delete options appear. 3. Click the delete option based on your requirements: If you just want to delete the AD mapping, click Delete Mapping only. If you want to delete the AD mapping and disable all users created through it, click Delete Mapping and Disable Users. If you want to delete the AD mapping and delete all users created through it, click Delete Mapping and Delete Users. 4. On the message asking for confirmation, click Ye 168
inSync 5.2 Private Cloud – Administrator’s Guide The AD Mappings Page The AD Mappings page lists all the AD mappings created for inSync. For each mapping, the following information is displayed. Field Description AD Mapping Name The name to identify the AD mapping. AD Server The server on which the active directory resides. AD Group The AD group from which user details will be imported. Profile The profile that will be assigned to the users who are imported through the AD mapping. Storage The storage that will be assigned to the users who are imported through the AD mapping. Auto create/update users Indicates how user details will be imported from the AD. If Enabled, user details will be fetched once every 24 hours from the AD. If Disabled, you have to manually import user details from the AD to create them. 169
