8 Introduction<br />

We wish to thank Christ<strong>of</strong> Heyns, Johan Van der Vyver, Charles<br />

Fombad, Frans Viljoen and Michelo Hansungule who stimulated the<br />

discussions at the workshop. From these discussions, authors <strong>in</strong>corporated<br />

the comments given by participants <strong>in</strong> the workshop. Comments that<br />

emanated from the workshop discussions were additional to the<br />

<strong>in</strong>dependent peer-reviewers’ reports by <strong>in</strong>ternationally-acclaimed experts<br />

<strong>in</strong> the field <strong>of</strong> <strong>in</strong>ternational crim<strong>in</strong>al justice. In this regard, we wish to<br />

acknowledge the immense support we received from <strong>in</strong>dependent peerreviewers<br />

<strong>of</strong> the chapters. We acknowledge the critical and constructive<br />
