Theanalysis of the sectoral consumption of gasindicates that during July-March 2011-12, theconsumption of gas in the cement sector was 1.4billion cubic feet compared to 0.6 billion in thecorresponding period during 2010-11 thus postinga positive growth of 133 percent during the periodunder review. The industrial sector experienced adecline in consumption of gas and posted anegative growth of 12.5 percent during 2010-11.This sector also showed negative growth of 6.8percent during July-March 2011-12 whencompared to the same period during 2010-11.
