The result has beenthat projects vary substantially in their objectives,financial rules, and approaches to demand andcommunity participation. Forty Indonesiancommunities in seven different provinces, whichhad received support to improve water supplyservices in the past, were assisted to use the MPAto find answers to the following questions:●●●●●What kind of outcomes have the differentprojects produced?How well do they do in giving women and thepoor voice and choice?Is there a link between project approaches andaccess to services?How successful are multi-sector projects inhelping communities build the structures andcapacity to sustain their water systems?What can be learned for policy developmentand for future projects?95
