Both the ends (upstream anddownstream) of the valve shall be closed using the dish/dummy ends. In caseof more than one valves of same size and pressure rating, the valves can bejoined together from barrel (or bolted in case of flange ended valves). TheBypass pipe along with valve will be mounted the zero velocity valve. Thebypass valve shall be kept in open condition during the testing. A pressuregauge shall be mounted on the Zero Velocity Valve to check the appliedhydrosdrawing shall be applied using the hand pump or motor pump for a duration of15 (fifteen) Minutes. No water leakage is permissible through the main body ofthe zero velocity and bypass valve during the above period.8.30 MeasurementZero Velocity valves shall be measured in numbers and shall be paid forincluding the cast the insertions and fasteners including labour as per item.Excavation, refilling, masonry and concrete work.
