CHAPTER - 9GRP PIPES AND SPECIALS9.1 Applicable CodesThe manufacturing, testing, supplying, laying, jointing <strong>and</strong> testing at works <strong>and</strong>sites of GRP pipes shall comply with all currently applicable statutes,regulations, st<strong>and</strong>ards <strong>and</strong> codes, In particular, the following st<strong>and</strong>ards, unlessotherwise specified herein, shall be referred. In all cases the latest revision ofthe codes shall be referred to. GRP PipesFiber glass reinforced plastic (GRP) pipes is a matrix of composite of glassfiber, thermosetting, polyester resin <strong>and</strong> filters. The pipes so manufactured arelight in weight <strong>and</strong> have smooth interior surface. A tubular product containingglass fiber reinforcements embedded in or surrounded by cured thermosettingresin. The composite structure may contain aggregate (siliceous), fillers,thixotroic agents.
