Condition defined critical; sedatedand ventilated.Date/time of incident: 11 Jul 2014, 12:00.Location of incident: Outside, on way to mosque inthe neighbourhood of the patient’s home.Circumstances of injury: The patient was on his wayto pray in the mosque. There was no heavy fire in thearea at that time, or he would not have left home.Many men were heading to the mosque for Fridayprayers when he was hit by a drone missile.Others killed/injured in same event: The man whowas walking close to the patient, in his seventies,was killed by the explosion. Number of other deaths/ injuries unknown.Evacuation and care inside Gaza: The patient wastaken by ambulance to Kamal Edwan Hospital andlater on the same day to Shifa Hospital in Gaza City,where he remained in ICU for two more days.117
