4.1 Khan Younishe was referred to East Jerusalem. Evacuation outof Gaza: The patient was transferred to St JosephHospital in East Jerusalem on 7 Aug 2014. Heunderwent ‘normal procedures’ at Erez Crossing.At St. Joseph Hospital, he underwent exploratorylaparotomy for removal of shrapnel. He is currentlyreceiving antibiotics and treatment according topost-surgical protocol.Comments on displacement: The patient’s housewas partly destroyed.Comments on rehabilitation: According to a medicalreport received subsequently the patient wasdischarged home in stable condition on 30 Sep 2014with a recommendation to return in one month forre-evaluation.The patient’s father was killed in a separate incidentduring this conflict, on 27 July 2014, three days beforethe date on which the patient was injured, while goingto visit his family: a drone missile hit a man walkingaround 30-50m away from him and the explosionkilled him.
