2.6 Gaza Beach & PortEvacuation and care inside Gaza: After breaking herhip the patient went to Shifa Hospital on the sameday. She was given fluids for 10 days but was thendischarged home because her bed was needed forwar injuries.Evacuation out of Gaza: The patient was referred toNajah Hospital in Nablus on 5 Aug 2014. The journeyto Erez Crossing took 20 minutes. At Erez a femalesoldier wearing a glove/mitten on her hand checkedher under her clothes from all sides. The patientsaid she was using a strange implement like anultrasound. After the body check they used anotherdevice that looked like a hair dryer. The patient wasthen transferred immediately to the ambulance thattook her to Qalandia checkpoint (in the West Bank- Ed.), and from there to another ambulance whichtook her to Nablus. The hospital has yet to make adecision regarding a hip replacement.Comments on displacement: NoneComments on rehabilitation: Hip replacementsurgery is available in Nablus.
