When the patient and her husband fled tothe other room where her parents were staying asecond tank missile hit them.Others killed/injured in same event: The patient’shusband was injured (see EJM5 below-Ed.)Evacuation and care inside Gaza: The patientreported there was ‘firing’ to stop ambulances fromgetting to them. After an unspecified delay she wastaken by private car to Shuhada’ Al Aqsa Hospital. Atthe hospital some Palestinian surgeons trained inGermany wanted to amputate her L leg; she refusedand other surgeons at the hospital applied externalfixation and discharged her after 5 days. Becauseher home had been destroyed the family was livingin an UNRWA school. She stayed there for 5 daysbut began to feel very ill.
