Mentalhealth: patient unable to sleep at night since theincident occurred while she was sleeping.Date/time of incident: 27 Jul 2014, 04:30Location of incident: At the patient’s home inAlsater Al Gharbi, Khan Younis, southern GazaCircumstances of injury: The patient’s home is partof a three-house complex housing 1) herself, 2)her husband’s second wife and 3) the son of thesecond wife and his own wife. All the inhabitantsof the complex were together in the patient’s homeat the time of the incident. She was asleep whenthe house was hit by an airstrike. Altogether, threemissiles hit the entire complex.Others killed/injured in same event: The threeothers present at the complex at the time of thestrike were killed; the patient is the sole survivor ofthe incident.Evacuation and care inside Gaza: The patient wasevacuated by ambulance, which arrived promptlyand transferred her to Nasser Hospital in KhanYounis.
