His wife survived the attack and wasadmitted to Shifa Hospital, in critical condition.In the small house adjacent to the building lived thegrandparents and an unmarried aunt who were allinjured in different ways.Evacuation and care inside Gaza: Evacuation wascarried out by neighbours; everyone helped. Injuredand casualties were taken to Shifa Hospital inprivate cars and tok-toks [three-wheel motor-Ed.].The patient has undergone three surgeries thus farto remove shrapnel, skin grafting and debridementfor burns (fat pad grafting) and internal/externalfixation of her fractured right elbow/arm.Evacuation out of Gaza: None to date. Doctors havesaid that the fracture cannot be optimally treatedin Gaza, so her case has been referred to a visitingTurkish delegation; the patient will be transferredto Turkey pending permission from Israel who isprocessing her referral for further treatment.Comments on displacement: The family home wasdestroyed and the patient is displaced.
