At the hospital,the staff were was forced to amputate the leg veryhigh, almost to the groin. Two hours after arrivalat the hospital, they found that he was bleedinginternally. The patient received a blood transfusionand was stabilized. In an attempt to stop thebleeding, he was operated on twice. As he continuedto bleed, a laparotomy was then performed. He hadthree operations within six hours.Evacuation out of Gaza: It took two days to arrangetransfer to Maqassad Hospital. The patient arrivedthere on 25 Jul 2014.
