The children wererunning out in front when a drone missile struck thegroup. He was injured by shrapnel from the missileand could not move.Others killed/injured in same event: The patient’sfour children, two brothers and one of their sonswere killed. Another son is now disabled as a resultof an injury.Evacuation and care inside Gaza: After the strike,the patient was on the ground and his mobile phonewas 4-5 m away; he tried to crawl to reach it butcould not. He called out; neighbours came and thenhe was evacuated by private car to Al Khidma Al‘Ama Hospital in Hai Al Daraj. He was then promptlytransferred by ambulance to Shifa Hospital inGaza City where he spent two weeks, undergoingexternal fixation of L elbow and L leg and receivinga plaster cast for his R leg.
